Dan Huber - All Saxes
Dan attended Arizona State University and studied Jazz Performance. He has lived in Las Vegas since 1978 and has performed all around the Las Vegas and Houston area.
Dan loves many styles of music such as R&B, Rock and Roll, Pop, Big Band and soaring ballads.
As the producer and musical director of Common Ground both in Houston and Las Vegas, Dan is the creative driving force behind the Common Ground experience.
Gene Keen- Keys & Vocals
Gene has traveled the world many times over, sharing his music with thrilled audiences.
His wizardry on the keyboards is diverse and extraordinary. Grooves from Stevie Wonder, Boogie Woogie, Rock and Roll, all the way to ballads with soaring strings. Gene produces the essence of each song. He is a master of harmonies and loves letting loose on lead vocals that will have you running to the dance floor.
We are blessed to have Gene do all the band's charts and arrangements!
His band “The Stellar Unit” was a staple in Las Vegas much of the late 80’s and 90’s playing all the Hotel/Casino “Hot Spots”
Jim Baich - Guitar
Jim and his guitar has been rockin' Las Vegas for many years now! Versatility is a must with the wide range of music Common Ground provides and Jim has the expertise to play it all! Come enjoy Jim's wide ranging grooves, and musical solos. Listen to his guitar “cry and sing” or just follow his boogie down to the dance floor!
John Kuramai - Drums
John has played his music all over the country with many top bands! We are excited to say he has joined forces with Common Ground! John is a groove-in the pocket-player who helps Common Ground play their diverse book of music. Whether it's R&B, Blues or Rock n Roll, you know John will have the dance floor Rockin'!
Eddie Two Moons Chavez - Bass & Vocals
Eddie Two Moons Chavez has joined the Common Ground Showband! He has been sharing his talent on countless stages here in Las Vegas for decades! His soulful groove helps take the band to the next level.
Always growing and teaching, he attended UNLV as a Music Major, is a current Bass Instructor at The School of Rock and is a sought after studio musician as well!!
Mark Laity - Trumpet
Las Vegas native Mark Laity has been playing trumpet, keyboards, and singing in bands for most of his life. He trained for many years as a classical trumpet player, but his passion for various music types and genres led him to explore alternate styles. These days, Mark plays expertly in just about any music situation – from a rock and roll horn band to a wailing blues band or symphony orchestra, he brings the magic. Highlights from his musical journey include performing in cruise ship orchestras, touring with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, performing at the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan, and much more.
Michael Evans - Trombone
Michael Evans is from the Bay Area of California, has toured the world and has played with many bands and artists such as B. B. King, Boyz II Men, Smokey Robinson, Human Nature, Postmodern Jukebox, Tony Vega, Jerry Rivera, and many more. Michael arranges music and composes for shows on the Las Vegas Strip as well as playing trombone, bass, piano, and drums. When he plays trombone; you listen.
Brett Hansen - Audio / Video
Brett provides Common Ground's uncommon sound for their live shows.
As owner and chief engineer at AUDIO ARTS RECORDING & MASTERING, Brett brings his expertise in mixing sound, lighting and video to the live production. Brett has worked with and recorded hundreds of musical groups and artists including B.B. King, Earl Turner, Esteban, and 17 number one billboard chartbuster Kristine W.
